Maguire leaves two jobs to take his new position. He was the Chicago White Sox Radio Network executive producer at WMVP-AM since December 2020 and Barrett Sports Media columnist since 2021.
He was a program director at several different radio stations prior to his arrival in Miami. It included stints at WQSN-AM in Kalamazoo, WLBY-AM in Ann Arbor, WTKA-AM in Ann Arbor, WSSP-AM in Milwaukee, KCSP-AM in Kansas City and KDKA-FM in Pittsburgh.
Maguire worked as the program director at WQAM from May 2015 until February 2018. He was the director of news programming at KIRO-AM in Seattle from March 2018 to August 2019.
He moved on to SpokenLayer as a producer in April 2020. Maguire joined Barrett News Media in September 2020 as a columnist.
