Mavericks Outdistance Heat

     The Miami Heat fell to the Dallas Mavericks 107-99 on Tuesday night at FTX Arena. The Heat stayed in first place in the Eastern Conference. They visit Charlotte on Thursday prior to the NBA All-Star Game break.
      Miami(37-21) had a 28-23 advantage after one quarter and were up 59-51 at halftime. Dallas(34-24) roared back early in the second half and had an 81-78 lead at the end of three quarters. The Heat never came closer as the Mavericks went on a 10-2 spurt to begin the fourth quarter. 
     Jimmy Butler compiled a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat. Bam Adebayo also put together a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Kyle Lowry added 13 points while Omer Yurtsevern scored 11 points. 
     The Mavs were led by Luka Doncic with 21 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Jalen Brunson dropped in 19 points while Maxi Kleber put in 19 points.
