Heat Shake Off Pelicans

     The Miami Heat beat the New Orleans Pelicans 112-97 at Smoothie King Center on Friday night. The Heat finished off a six-game road trip and will have a home contest on Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets. 
     Miami(36-20) had a 27-24 edge after one quarter and were ahead 56-55 at halftime. New Orleans(22-33) was outscored 27-18 in the third quarter and trailed 83-73.
     Kyle Lowry led Miami with a triple-double of 14 points, 11 assists, 11rebounds and four steals. Two Heat players shared the honor of game-high scorer. Bam Adebayo got a double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Jimmy Butler contributed 29 points and eight rebounds.
     C.J. McCollum, who played in his first game with his new team since being acquired, scored 15 points. Devonte' Graham and Jonas Valanciunas had a team-high 16 points each for the Pelicans.
