Heat Hold Off Nets

     The Miami Heat got by the Brooklyn Nets 115-111 at FTX Arena on Saturday night. The Heat, who entered the contest following a six-game road trip, extended their winning streak to five games.
     Both clubs were tied 26-26 at the end of the first quarter. Miami(37-20) pulled ahead 64-58 by halftime. The Heat got up by 21 points at 89-68 with 2:09 left in the third quarter. Brooklyn(29-27) ended up trailing 91- 76 heading into the fourth quarter. 
     All five Heat starters had double-digit scoring. Bam Adebayo chalked up a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Duncan Robinson drained in 17 points while Tyler Herro compiled 15 points along with seven rebounds. Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry each had 13 points. 
     Kyrie Irving led the Nets with a game-high 29 points and Cam Harris scored 22 points. Recent acquisitions Seth Curry, Ben Simmons and Andre Drummond from the Philadelphia 76ers did not dress.
