The Dolphins also hired seven more new people to their coaching staff. They included Chandler Henley as assistant quarterbacks coach, Kolby Smith as offensive assistant, Steve Gregory as safeties coach, Mathieu Araujo as assistant defensive backs coach, Derrick LeBlanc as assistant defensive line coach, Steve Ferentz as assistant linebackers coach and Ryan Slowik as senior defensive assistant.

Patrick Surtain Leaves American Heritage For Dolphins
Patrick Surtain has left his position as the head coach of the American Heritage Patriots football team and has joined the Miami Dolphins as a defensive assistant. He was at the helm of American Heritage for the last six seasons and helped the high school win three FHSAA Class 5A state championships in 2016, 2017 and 2020.
