Dr. Joaquin Garcia Blanks Tate

      The Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs were victorious over the Tate Aggies 10-0 on Thursday night in the Florida Invitational Tournament 7A-4A state championship game at The Villages. The Bulldogs completed their third season as a high school football program. 

      Neither teams scored in the first two quarters of the contest. Dr. Joaquin Garcia(11-3) pulled ahead 7-0 with eight minutes remaining in the third quarter. They were able to score on a touchdown pass. 

      Tate(10-4) missed on a field goal attempt during the first minute of the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs responded with a field goal on their next possession midway through the final quarter for a 10-0 lead. The Aggies failed on another field goal when it was blocked with three minutes left in the fourth.
