West Boca Raton Survives Armwood

     The West Boca Raton Bulls went on the road and barely got by the Armwood Hawks 14-13 in the FHSAA Class 6A state semifinals in Seffner on Friday night. The Bulls title reign continued and they will attempt to capture their second straight state championship in Miami next week. 
     West Boca Raton(12-2) was able to take a 7-0 lead on their second possession of the contest with five minutes remaining in the first quarter. They struck with a 30-yard touchdown pass. 
      Armwood(13-1) tied the contest up 7-7 in the final minute of the opening quarter. They got into the end zone on a 13-yard touchdown pass. 
      The Hawks jumped to a 13-7 advantage with three minutes remaining in the third quarter. They scored on a five-yard touchdown run, but missed the extra point. 
      The Bulls got the ball back with five minutes to go in the fourth. They finished the drive on a one-yard touchdown run with under a minute left in the game to take a 14-13 lead.
