Seven South Florida tri-county high schools will be playing for a 2025 FHSAA state championship in South Dade Kia Field at Pitbull Stadium on the Florida International University campus next week. The region had nine different teams compete in the state semifinals this week.
Two Palm Beach County high schools remained and advanced. West Boca Raton and Cardinal Newman were victorious.
Broward County dropped from five teams to four. St. Thomas Aquinas, Chaminade-Madonna, American Heritage and West Broward won while Cardinal Gibbons lost.
Dade County went from two representatives to one. Miami Northwestern moved on and Miami Palmetto was eliminated.
