Miami Northwestern Dismantles Bishop Moore

     The Miami Northwestern Bulls powered by the Bishop Moore Hornets 52-21 in the FHSAA Class 3A state semifinals at Traz Powell Stadium in Miami on Friday night. The Bulls were the only playoff team in the state that played on five days rest tonight. They will return home to Dade County and try to win their second straight state title in Miami next week. 
     Bishop Moore(12-2) saw themselves take a 7-0 lead several minutes in the first quarter. Miami Northwestern(13-0) responded on their first possession with a field goal with seven minutes remaining in the first and they were down 7-3. 
     The Bulls picked up a touchdown early in the second quarter and led 10-7. They expanded their lead to 17-7 on another touchdown several minutes later. 
     The Hornets closed the lead to 17-14 midway into the second as they scored on a touchdown pass. The Bulls answered back on their next drive with a touchdown pass with three minutes to go and they had a 24-14 advantage going into halftime. 
      Northwestern added to their lead 31-14 on a touchdown toss four minutes into the third quarter. Bishop Moore answered with a touchdown pass midway in the third and they were down 31-21. The Bulls made it a 17-point gap again with less than a minute to go in the quarter for a 38-21 lead. 
      The West kept their dominance in the final quarter. The Bulls had a rushing touchdown three minutes into the fourth and a pick-six interception with seven minutes remaining in quarter for a 52-21 lead.
