Stugotz will be heard hosting a sports show on terrestrial radio in South Florida for the first time since January 2021. He and his owned company Stugotz Podcast Network will be joining the iHeartPodcasts platform based on his new agreement with iHeartMedia.
He started off as a producer for the Hank Goldberg afternoon show on Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM and added weekend hosting duties. Weiner then joined Fox Sports Radio 940 WRFX-AM as a weekend co-host with Toast and stayed there from 2003 to early 2004. He also was a contributor on Miccosukee Sports Rap at Fox Sports Net Florida in the mid 2000s.
Weiner became a part of Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM as the afternoon co-host of the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz in August 2004. He would also hold the posts of vice president, general manager and program director at that radio station for a couple of years during the 2000s. He was the interim morning co-host with Marc Hochman in May 2012 and June 2012. The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz and WAXY-AM was piped into an FM frequency at Sports Talk 104.3 The Ticket WAXY-FM from August 2012 to August 2015.
It led to the program being picked up and syndicated nationally on ESPN Radio in September 2013. There would be a television simulcast of it later on Fusion and ESPNU. The show would be shifted to middays by ESPN Radio in September 2015 and then to late mornings in July 2020. In South Florida, the show changed radio stations from WAXY-AM to WQAM-AM in August 2019 and remained there until January 2021.
Stugotz moved to Meadowlark Media from ESPN Radio in January 2021 along with Le Batard. Weiner branched out to begin his own podcast channel on YouTube earlier this year in late April.
