The Toronto Raptors knocked down the Miami Heat 112-91 on Tuesday night at Kaseya Center. The Heat have lost eight of their past nine contests and nine of their last 11 games. The Raptors defense held the Heat to a season-low 91 points.
Toronto(18-13) charged out with a 16-3 run in the five seven minutes of the game and led 21-16 after one quarter. Miami(15-15) went on 9-2 to start the second quarter and moved in front. The Raptors were still in front 51-44 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Toronto outscored their opponent 31-23 for a 82-67 advantage. The Heat would eventually fall behind by more than 20 points during the final quarter.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. was not in the starting lineup and finished with a team-high 21 points for Miami. Norman Powell ended up with 17 points while Andrew Wiggins dropped in 14 points. Bam Adebayo fell short of a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds.
The Raptors were led by Scottie Barnes with a game-high 27 points along with eight rebounds. Immanuel Quickley was able to contribute 18 points and seven assists.
