Marlins Blank Mets

     The Miami Marlins shut out the New York Mets 2-0 at Citi Field on Sunday. The Marlins, who have won six of their past seven games, will continue their seven-game road swing in Atlanta versus the Braves tomorrow. 

     Miami(58-55) broke the scoreless game in the top of the fifth. Joe Mack smashed a solo home run to center field on a 3-2 pitch for his 11th homer in his rookie year.

     New York(47-66) gave up another run in the ninth inning and trailed 2-0. Xavier Edwarfs singled into center field and Otto Lopez scored.
