Marlins Dominate Angels

     The Miami Marlins routed the Los Angeles Angels 7-0 on Saturday at loanDepot park. The Marlins continued their six-game homestand. 
     Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara passed Ricky Nolasco for the most inning pitched in Marlins franchise history at 1,226 with one out during the top of the third. He was able to strike out Josh Lowe. 
     Miami(59-59) rocketed out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the third. Xavier Edwards doubled into left field for Owen Caissie and Javier Sanoja to score. Two batters later, Otto Lopez got a base hit through the left side which brought in Jakob Marsee and Edwards.
      The Marlins extended it to 7-0 in the fifth inning with three more runs. Edwards drove in Marsee on a single into left field. Three batters later, Griffin Conine singled into left field and Edwards scored. Heriberto Hernandez followed with a double to left-center field and Lopez reached home.
     Los Angeles(45-72) came close to breaking the shutout in the top of the sixth. They left a player on third base.
