Club Leon upset Inter Miami CF 3-2 at Nu Stadium on Wednesday night in a Leagues Cup matchup. They qualified for the next round of the Leagues Cup with a 3-0 record.
The Herons have a 1-2 record in Phase One of the Leagues Cup. Inter Miami CF was eliminated and will not advance further in the Leagues Cup tournament. Herons midfielder Lionel Messi entered the contest as a substitute during the 42nd minute of play.
