Miami Marlins starting pitcher Braxton Garrett has been traded to the Chicago Cubs. The Fish will receive first baseman Jonathon Long and pitcher Jace Beck in return.
Garrett was taken in the first round at seventh overall in the 2016 MLB Draft. He broke into the majors during the shortened 2020 regular season. Braxton has a career 16-20 record with a 4.16 earned run average in 67 games.
