The Washington Nationals have placed outfielder Joey Wiemer on release waivers. It means that the Nationals may not keep him if no team claims him off waivers.
Wiemer was with the Miami Marlins in last season. He finished with three home runs, 12 runs batted in and a .236 batting average in 27 games with the Fish.
