Former local sportscaster David Schultz has joined 103.7 The Game KLWB-FM in Lafayette, Louisiana as the new program director and morning host. He leaves his position as a membership manager at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo which he held for two years.
Schultz, a SUNY-Oswego grad, was employed at Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM from 2009 until 2011. He was the Florida Marlins and Florida Panthers sports reporter along with being a sports anchor and a fill-in host at that station.
He made numerous stops as a minor league baseball radio play-by-play announcer between 1992 and 2005. Some of clubs he announced for included the Syracuse Chiefs, Harrisburg Senators, Somerset Patriots, Jacksonville Suns and Peoria Chiefs.
Schultz worked as a media liaison with PGA Tour events at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami from 2006 to 2011. The events involved the World Golf Championship and Ford Championship that were played on the famous Green Monster golf course.
