It is a milestone day for South Florida sportscasting as ESPN Radio rolls out two longtime Miami personalities Dan Le Batard and Jorge Sedano on Monday. They will combine for six hours of programming every weekday on the national network.
Le Batard, a University of Miami grad, has been part of the Miami media since 1990 when he joined the Miami Herald as a sports writer. It will be the second stint with ESPN Radio for him as he hosted a Sunday morning show there during the early 2000's. Sedano, a Florida International University grad, became a member of the South Florida media in August 1999 when he got his first job as a sports producer for the Jim Berry Show on 1700 The Fan WAFN-AM.
After LeBatard and his co-host Jon Weiner, a.k.a. Stugotz, work the first hour of their four-hour show on 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM and 104.3 The Ticket WAXY-FM, their program will be simulcast on ESPN Radio from 4 to 7 p.m. Sedano, who has co-hosted an ESPN Radio evening show with former NFL player Mark Schlereth since September 9, will follow and be on-the-air from 7 to 10 p.m.
