The Miami Heat have signed forward Michael Beasley to a one-year contract. Beasley was selected by the Heat as the number two overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft. He played two years with the club and helped them get into the NBA playoffs. He made 97 starts in 159 games during his two seasons with the Heat and averaged 14.3 points with 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
Beasley was traded to Minnesota Timberwolves in July 2010 and played with them for two seasons. He was with the Phoenix Suns in 2012-13 and averaged 10.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 75 games. Beasley was released by the team last week due to off-the-court problems.
