Angels Slip By Marlins

     The Los Angeles Angels edged the Miami Marlins 5-2 on Saturday at Marlins Park. The Marlins have lost 8 of their last 11 and 22 of their last 29 games.
     Los Angeles(26-26) quickly took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Mike Trout crushed a solo homer to left-center field for his 16th home run of the season.
     Miami(17-30) battled back to tie the contest in the bottom of the first. Marcell Ozuna knocked in Christian Yelich with a base hit into shallow center.
     The Angels regained the lead during the third inning. Former Marlin Cameron Maybin scored on a ground out to shortstop by Andrelton Simmons.
     The Halos extended their margin to 4-1 in the top of the eighth inning. Luis Valbuena singled to shallow right-center field which brought in Maybin and Simmons. They got another run in the ninth when Maybin crossed the plate on a double by Simmons to left field.
     The Marlins pulled to 5-2 on their final opportunity of the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. Ozuna homered to right field for his 12th home run of the season.
