The Miami Marlins fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-3 on Sunday at Dodger Stadium. The Marlins have lost six of their last seven games and 20 of 25.
Los Angeles(26-19) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Adrian Gonzalez doubled to right field which brought in Cody Bellinger and Yasmani Grandal. They made it 3-0 with a solo home run by Joc Peterson on a 1-1 pitch in the bottom of the fourth.
Miami(15-28) got on the scoreboard in the top of the fifth. Former Dodger A.J. Ellis knocked in Derek Dietrich with a base hit into center field.
The Dodgers regained their three-run margin in the bottom of the frame. Gonzalez singled to center for Grandal to score again. Brett Eibner extended their lead to 6-1 in the following inning with a two-run single into left field to score Pederson and Kike Hernandez.
The Marlins scored in the ninth inning as Justin Bour blasted a solo homer to center field on a 1-1 count. It was his third home run in the four-game series in Los Angeles along with his seventh overall in the last 11 games.
