Curtis Stevenson is no longer on Miami Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM. He was the morning sidekick on the Joe Rose Show until May 19. Zach Krantz moved over from the afternoon show as his replacement on Monday. Stevenson will work as a sports host on Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM this weekend.
Stevenson, who goes by the name Captain Curtis while on the airwaves, had a long tenure at WQAM. He was the afternoon producer on the Jim Mandich Show until the program ended in late January 2010. Stevenson was the afternoon host and then along with Anita Marks from February 2010 to June 2010.
He held the midday slot alone for one month in July 2010 until Michael Irvin became the permanent midday host in August 2010. Stevenson remained with the program as the producer. He later replaced Kevin Kiley and became the midday on-air sidekick from August 2011 to July 2012. Stevenson was promoted to interim midday host and held it for one month.
Stevenson was a weekend host at WQAM throughout the 2010s. He did co-host the early afternoon shift with Adam Kuperstein from September 2013 to December 2013. Stevenson was part of the morning show as the sidekick of Joe Rose since April 2014 when Krantz left to become the afternoon co-host with Marc Hochman.
