The Miami Marlins finished their six-game west coast road trip with a 4-1 loss to the Oakland A's at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on Wednesday. The Fish have lost in seven of their last nine games and 21 of their last 27 games.
Oakland(21-25) moved out to a 2-0 lead with a two-out rally during the first inning. Jed Lowrie doubled then Kris Davis smacked a home run to right field. Miami(16-29) put up a run in the top of the fourth.
The A's added another run in the fifth when Lowrie knocked in Matt Joyce with a double. Lowrie picked up his third RBI of the contest in the seventh inning when he drove in Adam Rosales with a base hit.
