Bob Wischusen Adds ESPN Hockey

Former Miami radio sportscaster Bob Wischusen has added duties as a National Hockey League play-by-play announcer for ESPN beginning next season. ESPN recently signed a seven-year deal to become the primary television network of the NHL.
Wischusen, a Boston College grad, was first noticed locally on Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM. He started off at that radio station as a producer and weekend sports host. Wishcusen later became the morning sports anchor for The First Team and the afternoon sports anchor for the Hank Goldberg Show.
He moved on to New York City and was employed at WFAN-AM as a sports anchor and sports host. He shifted to MSG Network as a sports anchor at MSG Sportsdesk and a backup play-by-play announcer of the New York Rangers.
Wischusen was named the radio voice of the New York Jets in 2002, when he replaced Howard David, and still holds that position. He also has a long stint as an ESPN college basketball and college football play-by-play announcer.
