New York Rangers To Hire Gerard Gallant

The New York Rangers are about to hire Gerard Gallant as their new head coach. He recently guided Team Canada to the IIHF World Championship  in Latvia earlier this month.
Gallant was the head coach of the Florida Panthers for two-plus seasons. He helped the Panthers reach the 100-point mark in the regular season for the first time and captured the Atlantic Division title in 2015-16.
He became the first head coach of the Vegas Golden Knights. They eventually won the Western Conference championship in their first season of existence in 2017-18. Gallant and his team lost to the Washington Capitals in the Stanley Cup Final.
