South Florida Will Not Get All-Star Game

South Florida will not have the National Hockey League All-Star Game in the near future. The region was to have the event during the 2020-21 campaign, however a combination of factors over the past year that included the coronavirus pandemic and the shortened schedule for the recent regular season scrapped those plans last October.
National Hockey League commissioner Gary Bettman mentioned in an address that Las Vegas will host the 2022 NHL All-Star Game. Sunrise was the host of the NHL All-Star Game back in 2003.
