The St. Louis Cardinals slipped by the Miami Marlins 4-2 at Busch Stadium on Monday night. It was the beginning of a six-game road trip for the Marlins.

Miami(29-37) picked up two runs in the top of the third for a 2-1 lead. Jazz Chisholm Jr. got a two-run single through the left side for Jon Berti and Starling Marte to score.
The Cardinals tied it up 2-2 during the fifth inning. Paul Goldschmidt drove in Tommy Edman with a single into left field.
The Redbirds moved ahead with two runs in the bottom of the eighth. Tyler hit a double off the top of the left-field wall for Dylan Carlson to score. Paul DeJong would ground out softly down the first-base line and Goldschmidt reached home.
