Braves Jump On Marlins

The Atlanta Braves topped the Miami Marlins 6-4 at loanDepot park on Sunday. The Marlins will go on the road and head for St. Louis to face the Cardinals. The Braves were able to snap a four-game losing streak.
Atlanta(30-33) rocketed out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Austin Riley knocked in Ronald Acuna Jr. and Freddie Freeman with a base hit into center field. Guillermo Heredia was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Abraham Almonte scored.
It became 4-0 for the Bravos during the top of the fourth. Riley sliced a 3-2 pitch over the right-field wall for a solo home run. It was the 12th homer for Riley this season.
The Braves make it 5-0 in the top of the fifth inning. Kevan Smith drove in Riley on a single into left field.
Miami(29-36) scored twice in the bottom of the fifth and trailed 5-2. Starling Marte got a base hit to left field and Jon Berti reached home. Marte would later cross the plate on a wild pitch.
In the sixth inning, Atlanta made it a four-run cushion. Ender Inciarte compiled his first home run of the year which ended beyond the right-field fence on a 1-1 count.
The Marlins cut it to 6-4 in the bottom of the eighth. Marte picked up a two-run single up the middle for Isan Diaz and Jazz Chisholm Jr. to score.
