The Miami Marlins have traded outfielder Corey Dickerson and pitcher Adam Cimber to the Toronto Blue Jays for second baseman Joe Panik and a minor league prospect.
Panik broke into the majors with the San Francisco Giants and was with them for six seasons. He also had stints with the New York Mets and Toronto Blue Jays. Panik has a .246 batting average, two home runs and 11 runs batted in this year.
Dickerson was in the middle of his second season with the Marlins. He helped the club reach the postseason for the first time since 2003.
