Jimmy Cefalo Returns To WIOD

Miami Dolphins radio play-by-play announcer Jimmy Cefalo returned to his morning show at News Radio 610 WIOD-AM on Monday after being absent for the last couple of weeks. He has been diagnosed with a demyelinating disease. Cefalo has been the radio voice of the Miami Dolphins since 2005.
Cefalo had a long reign as a sportscaster at WPLG-TV Channel 10 in Miami. He was the first morning co-host with Dave LaMont of The First Team at Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM back in 1993.
He was a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins from 1978 to 1984. Cefalo helped the club win two American Football Conference titles in 1982 and 1984.
Cefalo was a NFL game analyst alongside Charlie Jones at NBC Sports and worked several different roles at NBC News. He also once hosted a game show called Trump Card.
