Angels Soar By Marlins

The Los Angeles Angels bashed the Miami Marlins 6-2 at Angel Stadium on Monday night. The Marlins continued their five-game, west coast road trip. It was the first game for the Marlins in Anaheim since 2014.
Los Angeles(2-3) rocketed out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Brandon Walsh blasted a three-run homer to center field on the first pitch. Shohei Ohtani and Max Stassi scored in front of him on the play.
The Angels extended it to 4-0 in the second inning. Jo Adell connected with a solo home run to right-center field on a 1-0 count.
Miami(1-3) got on the scoreboard in the top of the fourth and made it 4-1. Jesus Sanchez crushed a solo homer to right-center field on a 1-0 pitch.
It became 5-1 for Los Angeles in the bottom of the eighth. Walsh powered a double into the left-center field gap for Stassi to score. Two batters later, Adell doubled to deep center and Marsh crossed the plate for a five-run margin.
The Marlins picked up one run in the top of the ninth and trailed 6-2. Sanchez got his second home run of the contest as he lifted a solo shot over the right-field fence.
