Marlins Roll Over Mariners

The Miami Marlins handled the Seattle Mariners 8-6 at loanDepot park on Friday night. The Fish started a six-game homestand. The Marlins expanded their winning streak up to six games.
Miami(11-8) pushed out to a 1-0 lead during the first inning. Jorge Soler smacked a 3-1 pitch over the left-center field fence with Jesus Aguilar aboard for his second homer of the season.
Seattle(11-9) cleared the bases in the top of the second. Luis Torrens doubled into left field which brought in Abraham Torro, J.P. Crawford and Jarren Kelenic for a 3-2 lead.
The Marlins piled on four runs in the bottom of the second to go up 6-3. Jacob Stallings got an infield hit for Brian Anderson to score. Aguilar ripped a base hit into right field and Joey Wendle crossed the plate. Jesus Sanchez then singled through the middle and Stallings scored.
The Fish expanded it out to 8-3 in the bottom of the third. Miguel Rojas homered on his first pitch to left field for his first round-tripper this year.
The Mariners got three runs in the top of the ninth, however they fell short. Kelenic drove in Crawford on a double to right field. Torrens followed with a sacrifice fly to right field and Julio Rodriguez scored. Adam Frazier then singled up the middle and Kelenic reached home.
