Jake Marisnick Signs With Pirates

Former Miami Marlins outfielder Jake Marisnick has signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. He was released on Tuesday by the Texas Rangers.
Marisnick played his first two Major League Baseball seasons with the Marlins. He had one home run, five runs batted in and a .178 batting average over 54 games.
He was traded by Miami to the Houston Astros in a six-player deal on July 31, 2014. Marisnick spent the next six years with the Astros and helped them capture their only World Series title in 2017. He had stints over the last three seasons with the New York Mets, Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres.
