Keith Yandle Consecutive Games Streak Ends

Former Florida Panthers defenseman Keith Yandle consecutive game streak has ended. He did not play for the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Yandle played in 989 consecutive NHL games. He last missed a contest on March 22, 2009 with the Phoenix Coyotes.
He set the NHL record for most consecutive regular games last month when he passed Doug Jarvis on January 25. Yandle did not play in several postseason games last season with the Florida Panthers versus the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round, however that did not involve the record. He with was with the Panthers for five seasons from 2016-17 until 2020-21 and played in 371 games.
Yandle may not hold the NHL consecutive games streak long. Phil Kessel of the Arizona Coyotes is currently second all-time with 967 consecutive games and could break it early next season.
