Bruins Move By Panthers

The Florida Panthers fell to the Boston Bruins 4-2 at TD Garden on Tuesday night. The Panthers, who have lost two straight contests, began a three-game road trip to finish the 2021-22 regular season. The Bruins extended their winning streak to three games.
Florida(57-17-6) got in front 1-0 at the eight-minute mark of the first period. Following an attempted Bruins clearing pass from the end wall, Gustav Forsling took a wrist shot from above the left circle that went by Linus Ullmark for his 10th goal of the campaign.
Boston(50-25-5) scored a pair of goals in a six-second span to go up 2-1. Taylor Hall made a lead pass from the top of the zone to David Pastrnak on the inner edge of the left circle. He sent a square backhand pass and Erik Haula snapped a shot past Sergei Bobrovsky from the right circle with 4:42 remaining.
The B's struck again off the center-ice faceoff. Pastrnak angled a pass from the red line to the middle. Hall raced down the middle of the ice and fired a forehand shot from the slot area for his 19th goal this season.
The Panthers tied it up 2-2 on the power play with 0.6 seconds left in the first period. Anthony Duclair softly passed the puck from the right wing and Claude Giroux smacked a one-time slap shot from the top right circle. It was saved in the blue paint and Sam Reinhart swept in the rebound from the right of the crease for his 32nd goal of the season.
In the second period, the Bruins reclaimed the lead 3-2 at 4:59. Petrice Bergeron tapped the puck from the right point and Brad Marchand released a one-time shot from the right wing. It was stopped by Bobrovsky, however Jake DeBrusk pounced on the rebound and scored his 24th goal from the top of the crease.
The Panthers pulled their goalie for an extra attacker with 3:47 to go. It did not work as Marchand got an empty-net tally with 3:05 left for his 32nd goal this season.
