Inter Miami CF Fall To Houston Dynamo

Inter Miami CF returned to action after a two-week break and lost to the Houston Dynamo 3-1 at DRV PNK Stadium on Saturday night. Houston had not won a road game since 2020. There was a 90-minute weather delay that held up the start of the contest.
Neither team was unable to score during the first half of play. Houston got out to a 1-0 lead in the 49th minute when Darvin Quintero scored on a header from six yards away. They made it 2-0 as Fafa Picault put in a penalty kick into the low left corner of the cage during the 57th minute.
Inter Miami broke the shutout and got on the scoreboard in the 66th minute to make it 2-1. Gonzalo Higuain converted on a penalty kick into the low right of the net. It became 3-1 for the Houston Dynamo a couple of minutes into injury time as Picault scored again when he blasted a right-footed shot from 12 yards out.
