Asante Samuel Jr. Debuts With Steelers

      Former Broward County high school football player Asante Samuel Jr. made his debut with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday against the Chicago Bears. He had been on the Steelers practice squad since November 11. 
     Samuel played high school football with the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders. He helped them win three consecutive FHSAA Class 7A state championship in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
     He moved on to the Florida State University Seminoles for college football. Samuel was selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Chargers. He was with that team for four seasons.
