One-time Florida Marlins first baseman Carlos Delgado is one of eight nominees for the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the contemporary baseball era committee. It consists of baseball players who participated since 1980. The final results for induction will be announced on December 7 in Orlando.
Delgado was with the Marlins for only one season in 2005. He compiled 33 home runs, 115 runs batted in and a .301 batting average in 144 games with the Fish.
