Jim Otto Passes Away

     Former University of Miami Hurricanes center Jim Otto passed away at the age of 86. He was with the Canes for three years from 1956 to 1958.
     Otto is best known for wearing the number 00 jersey and playing for the Oakland Raiders from their inception in 1960 until 1974. He participated in 210 consecutive games and never missed a contest during his professional football career. 
     He is one of three players to play in the maximum 140 American Football League regular season games in ten seasons. The Raiders won the AFL Championship in 1967. Otto was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1980, his first year of eligibility.
