Marlins Hold Down Diamondbacks

     The Miami Marlins handled the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-1 on Sunday at Chase Field. Both teams completed their three-game series versus each other. 

     Miami(19-35) will visit the San Diego Padres tomorrow. Arizona(25-28) will go on the road and have a World Series rematch against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. 

     The Marlins picked up three runs in the top of the sixth. Bryan De La Cruz grounded into a fielder's choice for Nick Fortes to score. Two batters later, Jake Burger drove in Jesus Sanchez and De La Cruz with a single into left field. 

     The Diamondbacks made it 3-1 in the bottom of the eighth. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. grounded out to third and Corbin Carroll crossed the plate.
