A's Move By Marlins

The Miami Marlins began their final series ever in Oakland and fell to the Oakland A's 3-1 at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on Friday night. Miami(9-25) second baseman Luis Arraez was traded to the San Diego Padres in a five-player deal prior to the contest.
The Marlins had their season-high, three-game winning streak snapped. The Athletics have won five consecutive games.
It was the start of a six-game road trip for the Marlins. The A's are leaving Oakland, where they have resided since 1968, at the end of the 2024 season.
In the fourth inning, Oakland(16-17) had a 2-0 lead. Brent Rooker smacked a two-run homer to center field for his sixth home run of the season. Abraham Toro scored in front of him on the play.
The A's made it a three-run margin in the bottom of the fifth. Max Schuemann reached home on an infield single by Esteury Ruiz.
The Marlins got on the scoreboard during the top of the ninth. Vidal Brujan knocked in Nick Gordon with a double into left field.
