Panthers Leap By Bruins In Game 4

The Florida Panthers jumped by the Boston Bruins 3-2 at TD Garden on Sunday night in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Panthers lead the best-of-seven series 3-1 and can eliminate the Bruins on Tuesday night in Sunrise.
Boston leaped out to a 1-0 lead with the man advantage at the 8:53 mark. James van Riemsdyk connected a pass from the left corner to Jake DeBrusk in the right corner. He centered it and David Pastrnak blasted a one-time slap shot from the right circle past Sergei Bobrovsky for his fourth goal in the playoffs.
The B's made it 2-0 with 4:48 remaining in the first. The Cats gave away the puck in their own zone and Brandon Carlo released a wrist shot from the top of the zone for his third goal of the postseason.
Florida scored the only goal of the second period with 5:09 left and they trailed 2-1. Aaron Ekblad dumped the puck around the boards from center ice. Anton Lundell cycled the puck from the left wing. Evan Rodrigues returned it to him from the end wall and Lundell put in a snap shot from the left circle by Jeremy Swayman for his first goal in the series.
In the third period, the Panthers evened it up 2-2 on the power play at 3:41. Rodrigues backhand a pass from the slot area and Lundell had his shot from the crease saved. Sam Bennett then put in a forehand shot from the left of the crease for second goal in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Cats moved ahead 3-2 at the 7:31 mark with their recent regular season acquisitions on the scoresheet. Vladimir Tarasenko raced down the left side of the ice and passed ahead from the red line. Kyle Okposo tapped a square pass from the left point. Aleksander Barkov sprinted through the slot area and scored his fifth playoff goal on a wrist shot from the top of the crease.
