WSCR-FM Adds Jarrett Payton

     One-time University of Miami running back Jarrett Payton has joined WSCR-FM in Chicago as a morning co-host. He will start his new position on August 31. 

     Payton, son of Chicago Bears legendary running back Walter Payton, entered professional broadcasting with WGWG-AM as an afternoon co-host. He worked for WGN-AM as a weekend afternoon co-host. Payton then landed in television at CLTV as an evening co-host. 

     He would have his longest reign of employment in broadcasting with WGN-TV as a sports anchor. Payton, a University of Miami 2003 grad and member of the 2001 national champions, was there from May 2015 to July 2026.
