Dodgers Bomb Marlins

It was the return of former Dodger Nathan Eovaldi to Los Angeles on Friday night. The Marlins starting pitcher gave up three home runs as Los Angeles pounded Miami 11-4 at Dodgers Stadium. Eovaldi(4-9) went only three innings and allowed six runs on seven hits.
The Marlins took a 2-0 lead in their half of the first inning. Bryan Petersen led off with a single to center field. Two batters later, Jose Reyes belted a two-run homer to right field on a 1-0 count off Chad Billingsley for his tenth home run this season.
Los Angeles came back with three run in the bottom of the frame on a Andre Ethier home run into right field for his 13th homer this year. Prior to that with one out, Mark Ellis walked and Matt Kemp singled to left field.
Miami tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the second inning as Donovan Solano scored on a ground out to first by Petersen. Solano began the inning with a single into right field.
The Dodgers regained the lead in the bottom of the second as Juan Rivera cracked a solo home run to right field on a 3-1 pitch with none out. It was his seventh homer this year.
Former Marlin Hanley Ramirez burned his old team with a two-run homer to right on a 1-0 pitch with one out in the third inning for his 20th round-tripper this season. Ethier had a single to left field prior to the big blow that made it 6-3.
Giancarlo Stanton blasted his 27th home run of the season, which was a solo shot, to left field off Jamey Wright with two out in the fifth inning.
The floodgates opened up in the seventh inning as Los Angeles put five runs across the plate. Shane Victorino walked then Ellis singled to left field off Carlos Zambrano. Victorino scored on a single by Kemp to center and Ellis scored on a single by Ethier to left. Ryan Webb was brought in to relieve Zambrano and he struck out Ramirez.
Luis Cruz was credited with an infield single as Greg Dobbs threw the ball past first baseman Carlos Lee for an error and Kemp scored. Stanton throw to third accidentally went into the Dodgers third-base dugout. Ethier and Cruz were rewarded home on the play as the Dodgers led 11-4.
