Sid Rosenberg will begin his new morning show on 640 Sports WMEN-AM on Monday. He would have started earlier this summer, but his previous employer WQAM would not release him from his contract due to a non-compete clause. His associates on the morning program will include executive producer Marc Eisenberg along with producers Danny Garcia and Steve Zemach. All three previously worked with Rosenberg at WQAM.
Rosenberg joined Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM in September 2009 as a midday host. He
moved to the afternoon shift in June 2010 and replaced Curtis Stevenson and
Anita Marks. He held the spot until early April 2012 when he was fired for his arrest on DUI and driving with a suspended license.
Rosenberg worked at CBS Sportsline in Fort Lauderdale first as a salesman then as a
sports co-host with Scott Kaplan. They moved their show The Drive to New York City and
worked mornings at WNEW-FM.
He then landed at Sports Radio 66 WFAN-AM
where he was the morning sports anchor for the Imus In The Morning Show. He
added midday co-host duties with Jody McDonald and later with Joe Benigno. He
worked there from 2001 until 2005 when he was let go after he did not show up
for the New York Giants pregame show as studio host.
Rosenberg returned to
Florida and joined 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM in late 2005 as a fill-in host. He was promoted to co-host middays with O.J. McDuffie. After Joe Rose's departure to
WQAM, he was reassigned to become the morning show host. He held that position until May 2009 when he was released from that station.
