Dolphins Release Chad Johnson

The Miami Dolphins have let go wide receiver Chad Johnson, formerly Chad Ochocinco, from training camp on Sunday. He signed with the team as a free agent back in June and had practiced at Dolphins training camp in Davie over the past two weeks. Johnson was arrested on Saturday for allegedly hitting his wife.
He played for the New England Patriots last season and had 15 catches for 276 yards and one touchdown. The team were the AFC Champions and lost to the New York Giants in Super Bowl 46. Chad Johnson grew up in Dade County and played high school football at Miami Beach. He started his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals and played there for ten seasons.
