The Kings Academy Lions host the First Academy Royals in a Class 3A regional final at Kahlert Stadium. Both schools were the top two seeds in Region 2.
First Academy(9-1) won their first nine games of the year and fell in the regular season finale to The Villages Charter. They bounced back with a 40-20 victory over Father Lopez last week in a regional semifinal. The Royals have outscored their opponents 398-149 this year.
Kings Academy(10-1) knocked off Holy Trinity Episcopal 16-7 in a regional semifinal last week. Their only loss this year was to Gulliver Prep in Week 8 by seven points. TKA has outscored their opponents 413-120 this season. They compiled four shutouts in their first games of the regular season.
Quarterback Justin Wake will control the Lions offense. He can connect passes to wide receivers Cory Croteau, Jeremiah Scroggins, Drew Luchey, Isaac Scroggins, Mark Witzen and Milton Bayonne. Running backs Dillon Larson and Presley Almond are expected to get the majority of the carries from the backfield.
