Nets Overcome Heat

     Dwyane Wade played in his first game since the birth of his daughter as the Miami Heat lost to the Brooklyn Nets 104-92 on Tuesday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat have lost nine of their last 12 games along with five straight home games.
     The first quarter belonged to Brooklyn(8-10) as they got out to a 20-13 lead. Miami(6-11) bounced back in the second and were ahead 42-39 by halftime. The Heat still led 77-74 after three quarters. The Nets went on a 9-1 spurt to take a 83-78 lead early in the fourth quarter. Brooklyn made it a double-digit lead 100-90 with 1:57 left. It was the eighth time in the last nine games that Miami was outscored in the fourth.
     Hassan Whiteside led the Heat with a double-double of 21 points and 23 rebounds. Josh Richardson drained in 16 points while Rodney McGruder added 15. D'Angelo Russell had a team-high 20 points along with nine rebounds and six assists for Brooklyn.
