Panthers Come Back On Sabres

     The Florida Panthers pulled off a 3-2 comeback overtime victory on Friday night against the Buffalo Sabres at BB&T Center. It was the fourth game of an eight-game home stand for the Cats. They defeated Buffalo for the sixth consecutive time. The Sabres lost for the second straight night following a 10-game winning streak.
     In the first period, Jeff Skinner scored his 20th goal of the season for Buffalo(17-7-3) at 10:55 on assists from Sam Reinhart and Jack Eichel. Florida(10-10-4) got a power-play goal from Jared McCann with 1:29 left in the first.
     The Sabres would regain the lead at the 2:41 of the second period. Reinhart scored with the man advantage.
     The Cats tied it again during the third period with 8:04 left. Jonathan Huberdeau fired a shot which was stopped and Evgenii Dadonov scored on the power play.
     The Panthers won the game in overtime. Huberdeau had the puck in the left circle and sent a cross-ice pass to Aleksander Barkov. He lifted a wrist shot over Linus Ullmark from the low right circle with at 2:24.
