Marlins Come Back On Tigers Again

The Miami Marlins waited until the ninth inning to come back and defeat the Detroit Tigers 5-2 at Comerica Park on Thursday. The Marlins extended their winning streak to six games.
The last time the Fish had at least a six-game winning streak was in 2016. The Tigers went 0-9 in their recent nine-game homestand.
In the sixth inning, Detroit(18-29) scored first. Ronny Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly to left field and Niko Goodrum crossed the plate.
The Tigers extended their lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the eighth. Former Marlin Miguel Cabrera knocked in Goodrum with a single into right field.
Miami(16-31) pulled off a five-run rally in the ninth inning to take their first lead. Neil Walker drove in Harold Ramirez on a base hit to right. Five batters later, Garrett Cooper blasted a grand-slam homer to left field on a 0-1 pitch. Rosell Herrera, Miguel Rojas and Curtis Granderson all scored in front of Cooper on the play.
